Peggy Opatken - Mar 31, 2016

I taught Omar in 7th grade–I thought he was a wonderful boy–and so polite and friendly. I taught English..he also was always when I would come into La Campesina. Omar, you were a wonderful young man. My sympathies to the families. He was a great young man and I am so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. I liked his quote–“Live Life With No Regrets”.

Elton Family - Mar 31, 2016

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Omar.
May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted many who have experienced such a loss, is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.

Mr. Napier - Mar 29, 2016

It is a very sad day. Omar’s loss will be deeply felt by everyone who knew him. I never heard of anyone who didn’t love Omar. I know I loved teaching him. He may have been quiet, but there was a lot going on inside. The ideas he shared in my class were often both insightful and original. I am proud to have known Omar and to have been his teacher. The world has lost a wonderful person (and a great artist).
