Patricia E. Reiderman, age 83, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Willows in Willard. She was born July 2, 1942 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Hubert and Goldie (Renninger) Abel. Pat was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard and was a volunteer librarian at the St. Francis School for many years. She formerly worked at Big Plus, the Pioneer Rubber Co. and Rite Aide all in Willard. Pat was proud to be an honorary Willard Firefighter. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Reiderman, whom she married June 25, 1960 and just celebrated 65 years of marriage together; children, Shelley Handshoe of Willard, Lori Myers (Mitch Fike) of Attica, Joe (Janene) Reiderman of Willard, Stephen (Amy) Reiderman of Attica, Michaela Prater of Willard and Kylee (Josh) Medina of Willard; 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jack Abel, Jim Abel and Kenny Abel; 2 sisters, Charolette Hartzell and Carol Flemming along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Goldie Abel; son-in-law, Willie Handshoe; grandsons, Trevor Reiderman and Brian Handshoe; brothers, Hubert Abel and Lewis Abel; and a sister, Helen Ferguson.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral mass will be on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio with Fr. Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or can goods for the food bank. Pat will be missed by so many people as she touched so many lives. I'm so sorry that we didn't know of her passing as we would have been at the calling hours and funeral mass. I don't remember having the pleasure of knowing this lady but I know Stephen, a man of fine character so that tells me me his parents are of fine character as well. From the picture even at her age she was a stunning looking lady and I am sincerly sorry for the loss. I'm not a particularly intelligent person but I am a person of faith and what I believe we don't have to talk about a person in the past tense. What I believe is that a person is not really gone, rather they are changed, in a different form. Of course you will feel a form of remorse and sadness, as I do, but remember the words passed on to a different place, This means your mom, and Mr Reiderman SR your wife is at home with the all mighty and is not sick, no pain and is happier than ever. Jesus that went before you said I go now and prepare a place for you, and my bet is that Mrs Reiderman has a hand in getting your places ready when it comes your time.
