Patricia “Pat” Jane Montgomery, age 59, of Ripley Township (Greenwich), passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 5, 2015 at Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born October 20, 1955 in New London, Ohio and lived in the North Fairfield and Greenwich area her entire life. She worked many years at the Country Kitchen in Willard as a waitress. Her passion was taking care of the younger generation as a daycare provider and superintendent for the goat barn at the Huron County Fair. Most of all, she supported her daughter in all of her activities and endeavors.
She is survived by her daughter, LeeAnn Montgomery; mother, June Hess; 3 brothers, John Hess, Jerry (Marti) Hess and Jeff (Peggy) Hess; 4 sisters, Sharon (Gary) Eastman, Carol (Dick) Schafer, Cindy (Ron) Carey and Lynda Hess; mother-in-law, Roberta (Dyer) Montgomery; sister-in-law, Denise Claytor; brother-in-law, Gary (Kimberly) Montgomery; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Leo” Montgomery who died October 8, 2012; father, James T. Hess; brother James J. Hess; and father-in-law, Rev. Orbin Montgomery.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm, where the funeral service will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00am with Rev. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will take place at North Fairfield Cemetery, North Fairfield, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron County Junior Fair or the goat barn at the Huron County Fair. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

I am so heart broken to hear of the passing of Pat ? I met her years ago when she worked at Country Kitchen and we became friends . Nicest , kindest person ever ! She will be missed by me and many others <3 Prayers of comfort to her daughter and family members .

Your mom was a great woman. She will be missed by many. She changed many people’s lives through the years. I have known your parents since I was a child & was glad to know your Mom took such wonderful care of Leandra & Jayden when she babysat them. I still have all the pictures your Mom took of the kids when she babysat them. She will be greatly missed.
