Paul E. Lucas, age 86, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born on July 29, 1926 in Bosko, Kentucky to the late John and Sally (Sexton) Lucas. Paul retired from Shelby Auto Call as an electrical technician. He loved to tinker with anything electrical and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing old blue grass hymns. Paul was one to never let a stray cat go hungry and would try his best to tame the cats so they could be brought inside.
Paul is survived by his 5 children, Betty Lucas of Akron, Christy Landis of Crestline, Pauline Flournoy of Roy, Washington, Ken (Carol) Lucas of Mansfield, and Rita Ortiz of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Pearl (Chuck) Wallace of Alabama, and Christina Niedermeier of Willard.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lucas, whom passed away on February 13, 2000; and 3 grandchildren, Virginia Bond, Matthew Bond and Tina Marie Ortiz.
Friends may call on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at Noon, where Revs. Roy and Sharon Kilgore will officiate.
