PALM COAST, FL – On March 10, 2025, Randall Lee Watts, 83, went to his heavenly home to be with our Lord. He fought a courageous battle with cancer.
Randy was born December 18, 1941 in Willard, OH. He moved to Florida in 1980 where he worked in Property Management and Real Estate prior to his retirement. Randy attended Crescent Beach Baptist Church of St. Augustine and was previously a member of several other churches where he served as an Elder. He was a kind and caring person who was always jovial and had a joke for every occasion. He enjoyed music and played several instruments and sang professionally for many years. He enjoyed talking about singing with many stars throughout his career. In the 1960’s he appeared on the Jackie Gleason Show. He also enjoyed golfing, cooking, fishing, traveling, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
Randy was a great patriot and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for six years.
Randy is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jeanie Watts, whom he married in 1974, brother-in-law Randall Beck of North Pole, AK, sisters-in-law Ginny Hillman of Port Clinton, OH, Shirley Purcell of Shelby, OH, Kathy (Bill) Inmon of Dandridge, TN, brother-in-law Dr. Boyd Purcell of Dunbar, WV, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Randy was preceded in death by his beloved parents Woodrow and Marian Watts, father-in-law and mother-in-law Hager and Nora Purcell, brother Nick Watts, sister Susanne Watts Beck, sisters-in-law Maxine Lillo, Georgia Zoll and Bonnie Morris, and brothers-in-law Robert Hillman, Gerald Lillo, Richard Zoll, and Richard Morris.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Friday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Crescent Beach Baptist Church in St. Augustine, FL.
Final interment of ashes will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, OH on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crescent Beach Baptist Church in St. Augustine, FL, to VITAS Hospice, or The Gideon's International.
The Watts family has entrusted arrangements for Randy to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations of Palm Coast, Florida and Secor’s Funeral Home of Willard, Ohio.
