He loved to collect records, play the drums, and go to concerts with friends and family.  Buck was passionate about the family farm and it was very important to him to continue the legacy of his parents and grandparents. Buck loved everything about the outdoors. From farming with his dad to growing a beautiful garden each year and taking care of his apple orchard, he loved caring for his land and always worked hard to maintain it. Buck was very hard working, a perfectionist, and could fix anything.  He was a kind, humble, and faithful man known for his never-ending smile and soft heart. Most of all, Buck loved spending time with his family and was very proud of his 3 children. There are no words to describe how much Buck will be missed by all who dearly loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janine L. (Holmer) Bauman whom he married on April 6, 1991; children, Adam Bauman of Willard, Ohio; Rachel (Evan) Hoepf of Bloomville, Ohio; and Andrew Bauman of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Deborah Breyman of Willard, Ohio; Janet (Rocky) Clark of Willard, Ohio; and Jacalyn (Shawn) Houck of Monroeville, Ohio; four brothers, Ronald (Lynne) Bauman of Roswell, Georgia; Jerry Bauman (Jeannie Montgomery) of Havana, Ohio; Dan (Shannon) Bauman of Norwalk, Ohio; and Don (Jackie) Bauman of Westerville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Patricia (Eberly) Bauman and a brother-in-law, Bob Breyman.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for all the love and support they have received during this difficult time.

Although life took us in different directions through the years, I frequently think about those who have had a positive impact on my path. Buck was one of those who frequently crossed my mind. Graduating, and working with him directly in our early years at the Farm, he became a good friend. Stand-up kind of guy with never a cross word for those around us. His memory will definitely last!

To Randy’s family. Prayers of comfort and peace over your family during this time of grief. Buck was a good man. Loved his family, work hard at work and at home. Buck was a friend to all that knew him. I work with Buck 35 plus years at Pepperidge and we would have constant conversations about family , his farming and Rock n Roll . We would always give each other trivia questions about rock n roll and Buck would get most of them right. Buck left many with good memories. From the concert trips to Blossom and Richfield colosseum, the jam sessions and yes when he would DJ. Buck was the last true DJ ,a legend “ The Buck Scam Jam “.As everyone else went digital with computers Buck would still spin his vinyl. Rest in peace my friend and may God bless the Bauman family.

Randy was very kind… I worked at the Farm with him. A little fun fact about him is that every day like clockwork, he’d stop by my oven exit and snag two cookies after his lunch break. I pray that his family will be surrounded by God’s presence at such a difficult time.
