Richard A. Painter, age 80, of Willard, Ohio passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio after a brief illness. He was born November 25, 1933 in Willard, Ohio to the late George Sr. and Viola (Tieman) Painter. He attended the Ohio School for the Blind in Columbus, Ohio. He formerly worked at the Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard and was a 27 gallon blood donor thru the American Red Cross. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard.
He is survived by his sister, Marge (Painter) Clark of Wheat Ridge, CO; cousins, 14 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Dolores (Painter) Watson; 3 brothers, George E. Painter Jr., Duane “Skip” Painter and Paul Painter..
Visitation will be Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral mass will be Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Catholic Church or to the American Red Cross. Was saddened to hear of Richard’s passing. He was one of the sweetest person. He is now with OUR DEAR LORD and family that has gone before him. What a reunion that must be! Will keep all of his family in our prayers.
