Richard O. Deppen, age 82, of St. Rte. 61, Willard, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at the Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. He was born April 17, 1924 in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Alvin & Alta (Smith) Deppen, and has lived all of his life in Willard. He was a farmer all of his life and was a member of the Willard Conservation League.
He is survived by his wife, Irene(Lillo) Deppen, whom he married July 6, 1947; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda & Mike Milano of Willard and Ann Garcia of Willard; son, Rick Deppen of Willard; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Burton Deppen of Willard; 2 sisters, Helen Hassinger of North Monroeville and Kate Warner of Bellevue; best friend, Edna Barnett of Willard.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Alvin & Alta (Smith) Deppen; daughter & son-in-law, Janet & Bob Genho; daughter-in-law,Sherry Deppen; grandson, Richard Deppen; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-9 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Richard Jueckstock offficiating. Burial will be at the Greenfield Township Cemetery in Steuben, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice,1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
