Richard R. Kreim, age 90, resident of New Washington, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2004 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. He was born on September 2, 1914 to the late Edward and Louise (Durnwald) Kreim and had been a resident of New Washington all of his life. He was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Golden Ages of New Washington. He was a mechanic for Ivan Shealy in New Washington, Heislers Trucking in Willard and retired from the Buckeye Central School System as a bus mechanic. He was also a farmer for many years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising rabbits.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Kreim whom he wed on April 14, 1945; two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia and James Sheahan of Gahanna and Charlene Kreim of Galion; Son-in-law, Edwin Bryner of Sandusky; daughter-in-law, Vicki Kreim Kanney of Bucyrus; five grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer & Jeffrey Beamer of New Washington; Jacquelin & Pete Titas of Cleveland; Rebecca Bryner of Sandusky; Patricia & Don Schehl of Rittman; Andrew Bryner of Sandusky; three brothers, Virgil Kreim of Tiffin, John Kreim of New Washington and Gerald Kreim of New Washington; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Arlene Bechtel of Bucyrus, Arvilla Karl, Esther Kreim and Catherine Kempf of Shelby and Dolores and Woody Tackett of Willard. He is precceded in death by his parents, Edward and Louise (Durnwald) Kreim; one daughter, Cheryl Bryner; one son, Gregory Kreim; and a brother, Joseph Kreim.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, OH on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, with Father Robert Dendinger officating. Burial will follow at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington.
