Richard P. Rose, age 65, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on March 10, 1960 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Donald and Mary (Kriss) Rose.

Rich was a proud member of the N.R.A, the Willard Conservation League, the Willard Moose and the Bellevue Eagles #490. He was a carman at CSX Railroad and he also worked at various farm implements dealers as parts manager or sales manager and recently as the parts manager at Dutch Maid Logistics. Rich was a true outdoorsman, who could often be found mushroom hunting, trap shooting, or deer and squirrel hunting. He enjoyed listening to music with the love of his life, Diana.

Rich is survived by his fiancé, Diana Griffin; brother, John (Audrey) Rose; sisters, Mary (Dennis) Rees, Barb (Jerry) Eitle and Carol (Ed) Kelsey; sister-in-law, Teresa Rose; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Rose and John's late wife, Paula J. (PJ) Rose.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A service for Rich will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Willard, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Diane Carter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Willard Conservation League or Huron County Toys for Tots.
