Richard Wilson, age 69, passed away at his daughter’s house in Greenwich, Ohio surrounded by family after a 2-year battle with cancer. He was born on August 7, 1955 in Willard, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Lois (Garner) Wilson.
Richard was a jack of all trades. He served in the army at age 18, when he got out, he worked at New Haven Supply for 18 years. He then went on to be an owner operator of his semi and became a truck driver.
He loved fishing, camping in Florida for the winter and music. He played the steel guitar, guitar, piano and any other instrument he put in his hands. He also loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
Richard is survived by his fiancé, Anna Means; son, Chad (Alex) Wilson of Plymouth, Ohio; daughters, Crystal (Scott) Geurink of Coopersville, MI and Terri (Chris) Schlarb of Greenwich, Ohio; grandsons, Hayden, Levi, Broc, Gage, and granddaughters, Shelbie, Alli and Laci; brothers, Mike (Sharron) Wilson, Ken Wilson, Danny (Karen) Wilson, and sisters, Lana (Denny) Perry, Deanna (Michael) Gurka, Carol (John) Bice, Jo Rios and Bobbie (Jacob) Mckenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Lois Wilson.
Calling hours will be on May, 16, 2025 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Richard’s funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on May 16, 2025 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. As a sibling we never expect this day to come. My heart breaks for all of us. My heart breaks for Rick's children and Grand children. Rick was a genuine son brother, husband,father,uncle and grand father. Rick's musical talents were phenomenal. He will truly be missed by all.
