Rickey V. Layne, age 48, resident of Willlard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2007. He was born on February 9, 1959 in Hueysville, Kentucky to the late Leland and Verna (Shepherd) Layne and had been a Willard resident since 1960. He had worked for David Price Metal Services in Norwalk and the former Plymouth Locomotive.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Brad Shook of Willard; two grandsons, Braden and Gavin Shook; three brothers, Elbert Layne of Lexington, KY; Timothy Layne of Texas; and Jeffrey Layne of Galion; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaye and Jerry Steinke of Willard; and Elizabeth and Ron Blevins of Galion; eight nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Layne.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, May 3, 2007 form 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Deacon Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
