Rita R. (Wise) Foos, age 85, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 peacefully surrounded by family at her home. She was born July 10, 1937 to the late Frank and Rosina (Swint) Wise in Peru Twp., Ohio, and was a 1956 graduate of Monroeville High School. She retired from MAPA Pioneer in Willard after 38 years. Rita was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard where she was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Altar Rosary Society, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed cooking, catering, canning, playing cards, but most of all her family.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent R. Foos, whom she married February 7, 1959; one son, David V. Foos of Oberlin; one daughter, Linda R. (Mike) Reyome of Lady Lake, Florida; two granddaughters, Lisa (Andy) Juette and Amy Martens, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Shelly Hahler, and eight siblings, Richard (Rita; Olive) Wise, Norma (Walter) Baum, Ambrose "Jake" (Geneva) Wise, Eugene (Louann) Wise, Raymond (Dorothy) Wise, Urban "Joe" (Elizabeth) Wise, Anna (Raymond, living) Knoll, and Mary (Joseph) Phillips.

Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard with Fr. Zachary Brown and Fr. Michael Diemer concelebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or School.
