Robert “Bob” J. Coats, age 55, of Willard, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at his home. He was born October 23, 1951 in Willard, OH where he has lived all of his life. He graduated from Willard High School in 1971. He worked at R.R. Donnelley in Willard. He enjoyed hunting, camping, playing Texas Holdem and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Karla (Schumacher) Coats, whom he married Aug. 4, 1979; son, Tom Coats of Kent State, OH; 4 sisters and brother-in-laws, Donna & Ernie Jenkins of Norwalk, Audrey Seiple of Shelby, Linda & Ronald Atkins of Louisiana, Dorene Gayheart of South Carolina; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry & Phyllis Coats of Elmore, OH and James Coats of Akron, OH; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Irene (Tracey) Coats and a sister-in-law, Debra Coats.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard and also Monday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Church in Attica, with Fr. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be at the Attica Venice Cemetery in Attica, OH.
