Robert F. “Bob” Pugh, age 88, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. He was born on August 30, 1925 in Huron County to the late Edmund and Mamie (Lykins) Pugh and had been a Willard resident the majority of his life. Mr. Pugh was a supervisor with Wiers Farms in Celeryville for 52 years and a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He is a member of the Christian Alliance Church in Willard and was a an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Lillo) Pugh whom he married December 26, 1945; six daughters and sons-in-law, Margeret and Rev. Cliff Hughes of Magnolia, OH; Karen and Terry Goodwin of Willard; Pam and Dan Donoghue of Willard; Cindy and Alan Babcock of Willard; Robin and Ken Holthouse of Willard; Angela and Randy VanRiper of Willard; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a sister, Lena Branham of Willard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Robert Pugh Jr.; five brothers, Billy Ray, Edmund Jr., Arnold, Bobbie Gene and Wayne Pugh; one sister, Anna Lee Gullett.
Visitation will be held at the Willard Christian Alliance Church on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM where the funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday with Reverend Cliff Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to “Our Mission” to provide for village water wells in Africa. I am sorry to hear this…I just reaad it in the paper today May God wrap you in his arms and comfort all.I know what it to lose your husband Mildred he is half you. I can not express how sorry I am. God belss you all and comfort you and give you peace.
