Robert L. Stanley, age 74, of Bucyrus, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Heartland of Bucyrus Nursing Home. He was born on February 11, 1940 to Oval and Ruth (Jones) Stanley in Huntington, WV. Robert retired in 2010 from the New Washington Police Dept.
He is survived by his daughter Debra Jo Zellner of New Washington, OH and his son Robert Stanley Jr. of Clyde, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mary M. Stanley.

Officer Stanley was a very kind, humble man. I remember once when I had called to report an incident, phe came to the house and reassured me that he would take care of the situation at hand. He was one person, it was the middle of the night but he had it under control. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
