Linda and family
Deb and I always enjoyed seeing Roy around town-he was as warm a person as God ever made. He knew how to flatter Deb and always accused her of being my daughter. Roy told me his WWII story and it was truly fascinating. We will miss him but he is in a better place.

My own appreciation, respect and love for him goes way back (when I was 5-6 years old). It was people like your Father (Grandfather) who made a difference in our community and impacted our lives in such a positive way. Much Love, Sabrina

Dr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Frederick - Jun 9, 2016

Roy was a great friend of my father and mother, Walter and Marion Frederick, as well as the entire Frederick family. I knew Roy as each spring he would work to make our house a clean and beautiful home. I admired his work, attitude and his wonderful laugh.
In my book People + Me, I wrote about Roy’s continuous community actions. On page 330 I stated “I can never forget Roy, as he was, and is, a good man trying to do positive things for other people.” The book is in the Willard Library.
Our heartfelt sympathy,
Joe and Kathy Frederick

WHS Class of 1961 - Jun 8, 2016

The WHS Class of 1961 sends our deepest sympathy to Linda and the grandchildren in the loss of their loved one and a friend to many, Royal Doster. We were all blessed to have had the privilege of being a classmate of Martha and Royal, son Leroy as well as a friend of Royal and Martha’s. Many of us have vivid memories of spending a special evening at the Doster home celebrating our graduation in 1961. They were gracious hosts and always were kind to each of us in the class of 1961. Our lives were better because we knew Royal, Martha and classmate, Leroy.
