Ruben Ruiz, age 66, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on November 22, 1959, in Del Rio, Texas, to the late Audon A. and Maria (Gomez) Ruiz. Ruben worked in the fields for John F. Stambaugh & Co. Farm and he enjoyed drawing, painting, and football, being a major fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Tina Ruiz, of Willard, Ohio; Melissa (Lorenzo) Alvarez of Willard, Ohio; Ruben (Devon) Ruiz Jr. of Galion, Ohio; Ruben (Isela) Ruiz Jr. of Del Rio, Texas; and Joan Samantha (James) Eubank of Del Rio, Texas; best friends, Veronica Garcia and Nicanor Garcia Jr.; grandchildren, Nayeli Ruiz, Beautifull Luevano, Aaliyah Luevano, Avianna Luevano, Lorenzo Alvarez Jr., Leonardo Alvarez, Lyonel Alvarez, Anna Ruiz, Bella Ruiz, Roman Ruiz, and Avianna Eubank; great grandchildren, Alciel Rocker, Yamila Rocker, Emerson Ruiz, and Emmanuel Ruiz; siblings, Martin (Benita) Ruiz, Yolanda (Gaspar) Sandoval, Rosa Cervantes, Mercedes (Andy) Sandoval, and Mary Guajardo; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Abel Ruiz.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Leticia Damian officiating.
