Ruby Tackett, age 72, resident of 61 North Euclid Street, Shiloh, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1933 in Hueysville, KY to the late Tony and Julie (Bently) Sparkman and had been a resident of Shiloh most of her life. She retired from MidWest Industries in Willard in 1994 as an assembler. She attended the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to be with her family. She was an avid gardener, loved quilting and work in her flower garden.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Randy Collins of Plymouth and Tembra and Dennis Hamons of Willard; two sons, Larry Tackett of Michigan and Gary Tackett of Sullivan; 9 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren; a sister, Dalphene and JC Spencer of Morehead, KY; three sisters-in-law, Millie and Dave Laney of Shiloh, Violet Tackett of Shiloh, and Mavis and Soleman Tackett of Georgia; a brother-in-law, Chester Compton of Plymouth; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David G. Tackett on July 13, 2001; her parents; a granddaughter, Dixie Huston; Sister, Gladys Compton; and brother-in-law, Harry Tackett..
Friends may call at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church on Henry Road in Plymouth, on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 after 4:00 PM and all day Wednesday, March 22, 2006, where services will be held at 6:00 PM both days. Funeral services will be held at the church on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Elder Buddy Carty officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
