Russell D. Lykins, age 83, resident of Willard, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. He was born on October 21, 1928 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Ben and Zettie (Oney) Lykins. Russell was retired from General Motors, where he was a machine operator. He was always the happiest when he was doing his yard work, which he took great pride in. He also loved tinkering around in his garage and attending auctions and garage sales.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby (Patty) Lykins of Willard, and Dwayne (Aleta) Lykins of Republic; two daughters, Jeri (Jim) Ault of Ft. Myers, FL, and Kathy (Pete) Hayes of Plymouth, OH; ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Lykins; six sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev.
