Ruth Ann Postema, age 97, of Willard, Ohio passed away at 10:15 PM Sunday, February 19, 2012 the Willard Healthcare Center.
She was born on November 15, 1914 in Vogel Center, Michigan to the late Sam and Jenny (Workman) Danhoff. She married John Postema, who preceded her death in October of 1973. She was a graduate of New Haven High School and was a member of the Willard Christian Reformed Church all her life. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to tend to her flowers around the house. She really loved reading her books and following the Cleveland Indians.
Ruth is survived by three children, Shirley (Bob) Stein of New Haven; Sam (Sherry) Postema of Celeryville; Dave Postema and friend (Liz) of Celeryville; a daughter-in-law, Pat Postema of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Robin Postema (Arvel Johnson) of Shelby; Randy (Debbie) Postema of Plymouth; Rhonda (Scott) Vanderpool of Manfield; and Rick (Jenny) Postema of Mansfield; eleven great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchild; and one brother, Kenny (Ellen) Danhoff of Willard.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Ron Postema in April 2010; four brothers, John, Pete, Harold and Bob Danhoff; and a sister, Florence Gremmer.
Friends may call at the Willard Christian Reformed Church in Celeryville, Ohio on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM where the funeral will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastor Terence Visser officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to Celeryville Christian School. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

We are sorry for the loss of your mother. Ruth was so caing and loving towards my mother who was her roommate at Willard Health Care. She was a gentle lady whom my mother considered a sister. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
