Ruth Patton Lykins, age 94, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Willows of Willard Care Center. She was born in Stella, Kentucky on November 19, 1920.
Ruth was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was an active member of the Church of God, and a successful business woman selling Avon. She directed children’s ministries, kids camps, taught Sunday School and lead the church in worship for many years.
Preceded in death by parents, George Adams and Mary Reed Adams, husband of 61 years Wilgus A. Patton; and Bill Lykins; eleven brothers and sisters; and one grandson, Christopher A. Patton.
She is survived by one brother, George Adams; three sons, Terence Patton, Gerald Patton, Gregory Patton; and one daughter, Loretta Patton Hopkins; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all!
Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, May 26, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shelby Church of God where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
