Ruth A. Stover, age 71, resident of Willard, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1934 to the late Gerald and Evelyn (Gaylord) Snook.
A life time resident of Willard, Ohio, she worked as a waitress for over 45 years at restaurants in Willard including the Brunswick Grill, the YMCA and Fork and Fingers. She enjoyed growing flowers in her back yard garden. She especially loved attending family functions including Friday nights at the Bowling Alley, SnookOuts, Christmas Eve and other Snook family gatherings.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Robert and Janet Stover of Tiffin, Ohio; one daughter, Sheryll Baker of Norwalk, Ohio; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Snook of Florida, Michael Snook, Stu Snook, and Jim Snook all of Willard, Butch (Leslie) Snook of Indiana, and Don Snook of Mansfield; and five sisters, Joyce Sanford of Norwalk, Helen Taylor of Mansfield, Geraldine Barnett of South Carolina, Sharon Cramer of Greenwich, and Sheila Bieri of North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Evelyn (Gaylord) Snook; one brother, Richard Snook, two sisters, Donna Turner and Eleanor Roberts and Elvis .
Friends and family may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 from 10:00 am to noon. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at noon with Rev. James Halleron officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
