Sandra (Smith) Weiss, age 61, resident of Willard, Ohio was born on March 8, 1947 to the late Sam and Ida (Slone) Smith Hall in Knott County, Kentucky was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky after a long illness.
She was a homemaker and once been employed by Pioneer Rubber Company. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, doing crafts, sewing and going to church. She was a member of the Willard United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband William “Bill” R. Weiss whom she married on December 7, 1968; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Jr. (Carrie) Weiss of Reynoldsburg, OH; Steven (Alisa) Weiss of Willard; four grandchildren, Weston, Kaiten, Cole and Leah; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ray Smith of Willard; Edd (Connie) Smith of Willard; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wanda Yenni of Willard; Clella (John) Vanichek of Willard; Mabel (John) Weiss of Willard; a step sister, Edith Crabtree of Jackson, KY; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters, Monnie Ousley, Lissie Motl and infant sister, Inagene Smith; two brothers, Howard and Nick Smith; a nephew, Jerry Smith; a niece Tiffiany Marie Weiss and all her aunts and uncles.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Willard United Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Hamilton and Reverend James Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions can be made to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Bill and family was so very sorry to hear of your wife’s passing. May OUR DEAR LORD give you comfort during this time of sorrow and grief. I know how you are feeling as I just lost my mother on August 26th. It’s hard for us as we miss them so very much, but God loves us all so very much that HE will help us through this difficult time of our lives.
