Stanley G. “Stan” Ware of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Willard, Ohio, age 75, died peacefully Friday, November 18, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Jolynn (Joyce) Ware, with whom he just celebrated their forty-ninth wedding anniversary. Stan was born on September 19, 1941 in Norwalk, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his daughter Katie Ware Dials, parents Howard and Jane (Kail) Ware and a brother, Raymond Ware. Stan loved so dearly all of his children and grandchildren, daughter Sarah Ware Swisher and son-in-law Brian Swisher and their children, Emily Swisher and Colin Swisher from Dublin, Ohio and his son Andrew Ware and daughter-in-law Renee Ware and their daughter Ava Beth Ware from Troy, Ohio and granddaughters Abigail Dials, Kennedy Dials and Isabelle Dials.
Stan leaves many other beloved family including brother, Larry Ware of Ft. Myers, Florida and many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s and many dear friends. Besides his professional career, Stan was proud to be a golf pro, and Vice Mayor and Mayor for the City of Willard. If you knew Stan, you knew his love for God, family, friends and golf. Stan never knew a stranger. Our darling husband, father, brother and friend… you will be so sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM where the funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kale Booher of the Lifepoint Christian Church officiating. We were so sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. I will never forget twenty three years ago, we were fortunate to have him marry Dick and I. He added “obey” to our vows. He made us all laugh at that one. He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
