Susan Taylor, age 78, resident of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on April 5, 1944 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Harry R. and Dorothy J. (Gundrum) Ferguson.

A Plymouth High School graduate, she went on to attend and graduate from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and Akron University with a Masters Degree. She was employed with Sprint for a number of years.

Susan was a spiritual woman who was a longtime member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Shiloh. With a servant’s heart, she dedicated a lot of time to Mercy Willard Hospital, to whom she could never thank enough for the wonderful care her parent’s received. She received the Mercy Willard Foundation Wasserman Award in 2017. She was also involved with Leadership Ashland and loved Golden Retrievers.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Dolly Ferguson; nephew, John (Sanjo) Ferguson III; and great nephew, John Ferguson IV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two Golden Retrievers, Mira and Sophie.

Family and friends are invited to the Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, 29 Main Street W, Shiloh, Ohio 44878 on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Susan’s funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Blanche Tyree and Sister Diane Hay officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh following the funeral service. Susan was always a ray of sunshine when she visited me at the bank I worked at. What a wonderful lady she was!
