Susie White, age 90, resident of Willard passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 in Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born July 29, 1915 in Handshoe, Kentucky to the late Logan and Lucy (Handshoe) Terry and she had been a Willard resident since 1957. Mrs. White had been employed with Burma Farms and later worked as a cook for several area restaurants. She is a member of the Tiro United Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking for her family. She was best know as ‘Granny’ to many friends and children.
She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Parrot and Chandler Conley of Columbus; Ruby and Noel Weidner of Columbus; Claris and Billie Hicks of Attica; Alene Duff of Willard; Barbara and Jesse Villarreal of Willard; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Combs and Alonzo Shepherd; two sons, Orbie Lee Shepherd and Louie Dean Shepherd; and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday from 5-9 P.M., and where the funeral services will be held Sat. at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Merl Dye officiating.
