Terry Lee Bogner, age 75, of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, with family by his side. He was born on May 16, 1950, in Willard to the late Oliver and Eunice Ilene (Blair) Bogner.

After graduating from Attica High School, Terry was drafted into the United States Army, where he served honorably as an infantryman during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he embodied the spirit of the American working man — dedicated, hardworking, and resilient. He worked several jobs before settling into a career at Midwest Industries, where he spent the majority of his working life and retired as a loyal and respected employee.

In his spare time, Terry found joy in the simple things—repairing lawn equipment, spending time with loved ones, and living life on his own terms. He especially treasured cutting firewood with his brother David, always insisting there was no such thing as “too much firewood.” With his late wife, Beth, he shared many joyful afternoons at The Bull Pen Auction House in Nevada, Ohio, a place that brought them both comfort and delight.

Terry had a truly unforgettable personality—his sharp wit, playful sarcasm, and unique perspective brought laughter and light to every room. Whether cracking a joke or offering a clever take on life, Terry had a gift for turning everyday conversations into lasting memories.

Terry is survived by his children, Steven (Amanda) Bogner and Blair (Dan) White; step daughter, Elizabeth (Bill) Akers; five siblings, David (Sheri) Bogner of Attica, Christa (Jerry) Adams of Attica, Susan (Bill) Riedlinger of Attica, Robert Bogner of Mentor and Dennis "Joe" (Denice) Bogner of Attica. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Beth (Oney) Bogner, whom he married on July 2, 2000, and who passed away on July 11, 2022; and his sister, April Bogner.

Terry will be remembered as a devoted husband, a beloved brother, a caring uncle, and a proud father. Honoring his wishes, there will be no formal services—but his presence lives on in every shared story, every smile he inspired, and every heart he touched.

The Secor Funeral Home in Willard is assisting his family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice. Online condolences may be made to his family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Uncle Terry was our Sunday school teacher for a while when I was a kid. His lessons were encouraging and thought-provoking. I remember riding with him and my cousins through town after a relative’s wedding. He honked the car horn in celebration so much that it stopped working and we all laughed so hard! He was a calm, hardworking man. I’m thinking of you and praying for you.

Terry was a Great Person. Had the pleasure of working with him at MTD. After his retirement serviced our mower or would talk us through on the phone . He will always have a special place in our hearts with his gift of gab and friendly smile.
