Theresa Young, age 88, resident of Willard, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2005 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home. She was born on June 5, 1917 to the late Michael and Theresa (Vanicek) Schiffel and had been a resident of Willard most of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Jane Young of Bowling Green, Ohio; three nieces; two nephews; and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don C. Young on November 19, 1998 and whom she wed on November 14, 1945; her parents, Michael and Theresa (Vanicek) Schiffel; and two brothers, John M. and Rudolph Schiffel.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 4-7 PM where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to Hillside Acres Nursing Home.
