Wanda J. Nester, age 70, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on August 8, 1945 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Caster and Olie (Reagan) Scott and had been a Plymouth area resident the majority of her life. Mrs. Nester was a homemaker and a member of the Tiro United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Nester, whom she married on July 13, 1964; two sons, Darrell W. (Sherri) Nester of Plymouth; and Bobby D. Nester (Janola Armstrong) of Crestline; seven grandsons and one granddaughter; one great grandson; and one brother, Jay Scott of Jamestown, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa A. Devlin; three brothers, Billy, Robert, and Ira Scott; and three sisters, Helen Cass, Betty Hivley, and Judy Cross.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Merlin Dye officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. I’m very sorry to hear of Wandas passing. She was such a wonderful woman. From when I 1st had her as my Sunday School teacher at Tiro when Uncle Tom was the pastor. Ill never forget her and May God bless and comfort her family in their time of loss, but Gods gain,
So sad to read my precious friend’s name in the obituaries..but what a blessed comfort in knowing that her name was recorded in The Book Of Life…Bill, we have loved you and your family for years and all the memories are yet precious. .. Wanda was a special person. She touched everyone she met. She was a kind, loving and gentle. I have been blessed to have known her. Thank you Wanda and Bill for everything you did for me. I love you both very much.

Emily, Andrew, Jacob, Bill, and the rest of the Nester family. I was so sorry to hear about Wanda’s passing. I know your hearts must be broken. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. Wanda was such a special lady and I know she and Lisa are rejoicing together in Heaven and are now watching over their precious family here on earth. Our condolences to our dear friend Bill Nester and his family for the going home of his beautiful wife and our true friend. We were so sorry to hear this but God knows best. Her journey is over and ours is yet to come. I can just see the smile on her face as she was greeted I am sure by Lisa who she has missed so much.
