Wanieta June Turner, age 73, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Tucson, AZ, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 10, 2004. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Ohio, to the late Harry and Cecil (Mills) Mitchell. She was a member of Hollins Church of the Nazarene and retired from the Civil Service.
Wanieta was preceded in death by her husband, John Turner and one son, J. Eugene Turner. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Sally Turner of Chandler, AZ; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and the Rev. Lynn Riddle of Roanoke;daughter-in-law, E. Dorene Turner of Covina, CA; eight grandchildren, Kevin and Mandy Turner, Rebekah Weeks, Benjamin, Tabitha and Elizabeth Turner, Briana Butler, and Katie Riddle; two great-grandchildren.
There will be a Graveside Service Friday at 1:00 PM at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio is taking care of the arrangements.
