Wayne "Corky" L. Sexton, 73, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born on November 15, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Calvin and Thelma (Parlett) Sexton.

Wayne attended South Central High School, worked for a short while and then went on to serve his country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He retired from the Ohio Steal Tube, Copperweld Division after 38 years in the shipping department.

A true outdoorsman, Wayne could be found trapping, camping, fishing and bird watching in his free time.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty (Porter) Sexton; four children, Camelia Sexton (Herbert Cole), Michael (Kim) Sexton, Eric Sexton (Meranda Gregory) and Cody (Robbie) Sexton; ten grandchildren, Latasha, Shawn, Nathan, Makayla, Tori, Danielle, Steven, Josh, Brandon and Chad; seven great grandchildren, Jazmyn, Brantly, Eli, Tyson, Addy, Maddy and Hunter; siblings, Donna (Clayton) Bailey, Linda Nester, Floyd (Tammy) Sexton, Billie (John) Thompson, Robert Sexton, Nancy (Matt) Stumbo, Barb (Ronnie) Backensto, and Lloyd (Marilyn) Sexton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Micheala Oney; and sister, Carol Ireland.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wayne's funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
