William “Bill” John Hershiser, age 74, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on July 23, 1947 in Willard, Ohio to the late John and Edna (Martin) Hershiser.
A 1965 Willard High School graduate, Bill went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years. Upon his return home, he went to work for Midwest Industries and retired after 41 years of employment.
Bill’s strong faith was shown in his dedication to Christian Alliance Church where he served as a Deacon and was a leader with the AWANA program. He was a proud grandfather who enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy (Richter) Hershiser; three sons and their spouses, Robert and Anna Hershiser, John and Heather Hershiser and Darin and Angela Hershiser; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Dominic, Kendalann, Cody, Skiler, Landin, Katie (Cory), Kristen, Braden and Allison; two great grandchildren, Carson and Corbyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Caleb, Colton and Logan; and two sisters, Janice Lydy and Marilyn Cok.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Christian Alliance Church, 1609 S Conwell Avenue, Willard, Ohio 44890 on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Bill’s funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to Christian Alliance Church.
