William Howard Heydinger, age 84, resident of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Altercare Nursing Home in Bucyrus, Ohio. He was born on August 24, 1936 in New Washington, Ohio, to the late Otto S. and Josephine (Durnwald) Heydinger. He graduated from New Washington High School and had retired from Freeman Building Systems in Wooster, where he had worked in construction.

William enjoyed making homemade wine, wood carving, planting trees, hunting, fishing, and farming. He was a member of a numerous organizations. A few being, Labors Union in Mansfield (#216), Crawford County Antique Farm Machinery Association, Silver King Club in Plymouth, Wood Carving Club, Cranberry Game Protective Association.

He is survived by his loving children, Mark Heydinger, Cheryl (Luke) Rietschlin, Beth (Delbert) Hass, Steve (Karen) Heydinger, Patti Cok, and Kevin (Jill) Heydinger; sixteen grandchildren, Katie (Joe) DiLullo, Adam (Lindsay) Rietschlin, Seth (Maycee) Rietschlin, Samantha (Adam) Schroeder, Amy Rietschlin (Reid Martin), Andrew Hass, Aaron (Amanda) Hass, Stephanie (Kurt) Lenneman, Jessica (Joshua) Stiles, Emily (Nick) Gueco, Cameron Cok (Keyra Blanton), Abbey (Marcus) Payton, Hannah (Bryce) Orians, Sarah Heydinger, Elizabeth Heydinger, and Claire (Jeremy) Leggett; seventeen great grandchildren, Otto, Larkin, Ellie, Oliver and Emery Rietschlin, Solomon Schroeder, Issac, Mariah and Abram Lenneman, Nikyla, Nicolas and Noah Gueco, Myla Cok, Jania, Eli, Rosalia Payton and Sophia Orians; brother, Glenn Heydinger; sister, Inez (Dick) Gray; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Heydinger and Margaret Heydinger.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie (Fenner) Heydinger; daughter, Jatonda Heydinger Baxter; grandson, Joshua Heydinger; and son-in-law, Craig Cok. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Viola Karl, Bertha Karl, Vera Clady; infant sister, Mary Alice Heydinger along with brothers, Harold, Donald, Allen, Gilbert Heydinger and infant brothers, Raymond and Louis Heydinger.

Family and friends may gather at St. Bernards Catholic Church in New Washington on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church or School Endowment Fund.
