Ronald Leroy Burgette, age 74, resident of Willard, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1934 to the late William L. and Lillian H. (Nicolls) Burgette and had been a Willard resident for the most part of his life. He was a 1954 graduate of Oberlin High School. He was a printer at Herald Printing in New Washington for 24 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, the Intenational Brotherhood of Magicians since 1967 and the Willard A.A. Group since April 26, 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Osborne) Burgette; one son Dr. William C. Burgette of Willard and one son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Becky Bruce of Willard; three grandchildren, Glenn Bruce, Nathan and Justin Ressor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Lillian H. (Nicolls) Burgette.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Willard. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Willard. I have many fond memories of Ron, his parents and Grandmother- Mrs Nichols – my childhood neighbor. I would love to sneak over and be entertained by the magician. I will always remember Ron’s gentleness and smile. My prayers go out to the family for their loss.

So sorry to here that Ron passed away. Ron was a joy to be around. I belive everyone that knew him would say this. He will be missed by all.
