Vernas Gayheart, age 68, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Heritage Care Center in Shelby, Ohio. He was born on April 11, 1941 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Thearn and Lucrecy Gayheart and had been a former Shelby/Tiro resident. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family.
He is survived by six brothers, Thurman Gayheart of Willard; Tommy Gayheart of Plymouth; Larry Gayheart of Shelby; Clark Gayheart of Attica; Clyde Gayheart of Willard; and Terry Gayheart of Willard; two sisters, Velma Slone of Shelby; and Arbutus Gayheart of Shelby; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Gayheart; and a sister, Mattlene Brown
Friends may call at the Tiro United Baptist Church on Thursday, September 3, 2009 beginning at 3:00 PM until the time of the funeral services on Friday at 1:00 PM.
