Artie Conley, age 88, resident of Willard, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Willard Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio.. She was born on Janurary 25, 1921 in Martin County, KY to the late Bascom and Maudie (Samons) Mills and had been a Willard resident since 1953. She was a member of the United Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Larry Conley of Corbin, KY; one daughter, Brenda Blair of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; three brothers, Ersel, Arbie, and Lewis Mills all of Tomahawk, KY; 4 sisters, Rebecca Dalton of Shelby, Nelsie Combs of Mansfield, Hazel Adams of Tomahawk, KY and Floann Wilson of Erin, TN; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Conley, parents, Bascom and Maudie (Samons) Mills and a sister, Irene Boyd.
Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2009 from 5-8 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senoir Citizens Center in Willard.
