Michael Phillips, age 67, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard, Ohio. He was born on June 18, 1942 in Willard, Ohio to the late Max and Flossie Phillips. He had worked as an Assistant Pressman for R.R. Donnelleys in Willard, Ohio. He was a member of the St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marie( Hafner ) Phillips whom he married June 22, 1963; 5 children, Mark (Andrea) Phillips of Ashland, Michele Frank of Willard, Marsha (Jeff) Cutlip of Ashland, Monica (Bryan) Barnes of Mansfield and Megan Phillips of Willard; 2 brothers, Joseph (Mary) Phillips of Willard and Vince (Bobbie) Phillips of Elyria; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Hubert, Andrew, Paul, Jerome and George Phillips; 3 sisters, Maxine Brobst, Helen Hahler and Amelia Fritz.
Friends may call on the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 3-6 P.M. There will be a Rosary recited right before the mass on Monday. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church in Marywood, Ohio, with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made out to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
