Vernale McClimans, age 61, a beloved mother, wife and friend, got her wings on Friday, September 4, 2009. She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky and lived most of her life in Willard, Ohio. She married Samuel E. McClimans on April 16, 1972. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing with her grandkids, shopping, gardening, traveling, collecting angels and attending church. Her place of worship was the Plymouth Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Samuel E. McClimans; her daughter, Hollie Meyer-McClimans (fiance Ryan Groves); her son, Gary McClimans (Kami); step-son, Samuel Q. McClimans (Barb); step-daughter, Tami Van Leeuwen; her grandkids, Cierra, Brandon, Hunter, Serenity and Keagen Meyer, Alexis and Austin McClimans; step-grandkids, Marsha, Amy and William Tillia, Chase and Summer Van Leeuwen; her brothers, Bill Kidd (Becky), Garry Mosley (Tina), Rhodsey Mosley (Teri); her aunt, Oma Ricer; and many loyal friends.
She is reunited in heaven with her mother, Oval Bolen; her father, Kennel Mosley; her step-father, Floyd Bolen and her sister, Marzel Vance-Bolen.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Plymouth Church of God on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 6-8PM and Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 12-1PM. Memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family at: Vernale’s Memorial Donation, c/o Hollie Meyer, 902 S. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Vernale’s passing. My heart goes out to Sam and the kids and the grandkids.Also to Bill and Becky,Gary and Rhodsy and Teri and Oma. Vernale, was a very special sister and niece.
I will always remember her as being kind and sweet. My Deepest Sympathy.May God Bless her and keep her.
