Charles W. Bland, age 82, passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at his home in Plymouth. He was born May 31, 1927 in Plymouth, Ohio to the late Henry and Merle (Cline) Bland. Charles was a lifelong Plymouth resident. He had been a truck driver for various local companies since he was 16 years old. He enjoyed spending time with his family and doing anything outdoors. He especially loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susetta (Lambert) Bland of Plymouth; two sons, Charles (Barbara) Bland of Colombia, SC and William (Barbara) Bland of Shelby, OH; two daughters, Patty (Bobby) Turner of Tamarac, FL and Tammy Kegley of Plymouth, OH; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one sister, Ethel Wibright of Willard, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Norma Lucille Bland; four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at Willard Christian Missionary and Alliance Church on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Jim Trainer and Rev. Bart McKelvey will officiate.
