Janet Kay Easterling, age 53, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at her home. She was born on March 25, 1958 in Willard, Ohio to Willis and Joyce (Taylor) Castle.
She is survived by her husband, John D. Easterling of Plymouth, Ohio; two sons, John L. Easterling of Columbus, Ohio and Jason Easterling of Mansfield, Ohio; parents; two sisters, Krista and Marina and one brother, Willis Castle.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
Friends may call on the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 6-8 PM where the funeral will be on August 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mel Schroeder officiating. To John Easterling, Spouse: I just read the News Journal- 8:02 p.m. I am so sorry for your loss. I think that both you and Janet had some tough times with her ongoing health problems. I know you will be loney and miss her, but she is in a better place and you will see her again when it is time for you to go home. In the meantime, I send my heartfelt sympathy.
When we were young, Janet was the cousin I remember being around the most. We had lost touch through the years, but when someone mentions a cousin, those are the things I think of. I just found out (at ten minutes til 8pm on my way to work) that Janet had passed on. My thoughts and prayers go out to the boys, Christa and Marina, Willis and Joyce, and of course John. I wish I had known a little earlier – I could have stopped at the funeral home before work.
This brought me back to when we were young playing by the willow tree at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Janet you are missed greatly, give my Dad a big hug for me and Grandma and Grandpa too, tell them all I love them and miss them greatly. John and the boys, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Willis, Christa, Marina and Willis my thoughts and prayers goes out to you, but at least you don’t have to worry anymore cause she is with her Father in heaven!!! Love You all!!
To my cousin, Janet K. Castle Easterling…you made it! You’ve finished your race, you are now completely whole! You have embraced our grandparents and uncles who had gone before us, and most of all you’ve now seen Jesus!!! I know you are cheering the rest of us on. So many memories flood my thoughts and knowing we’ll be together again floods my heart! Love you!!!
