Emma A. Caldwell, age 65, of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.  She was born on November 17, 1960 in Brawley, California, to the late Benjamin and Margarita (Figueroa) Silos.

She was known for her bright outfits and flashy jewelry.  She cooked for many around town.  Most of all, Emma loved spending time with her dog Bunz and her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Caldwell, whom she married on November 2, 1996; children, Margarita (Benjamin) Deforge of Crescent City, CA; Irene (Steven Robinette) Caldwell of Bucyrus, Ohio; and Benjamin Caldwell of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Athena Silos, Murray Deforge, and Luna Deforge; brother, Samuel Silos; sister, Yolanda Silos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Augustine, Lupe, Marisa, Rosie, and Domingo; her precious dog, Bunz; and many other family members.

You were my first and best friend when my family moved to Cherry Valley so long ago. I can still picture the day we met in 8th grade in the portable classroom! You were the funniest, sweetest, and most sincere person! Even though we eventually went our own ways, I have always held you in my heart. I was glad to be able to talk with you a few weeks ago. Rest peacefully my old friend. Your memory will always be a blessing. With deep condolences to the Caldwell and Silos families as well as Emma’s friends and church family. 😢❤️🙏
