Dorothy (Dottie) Jean Beverly (Furr) went to be with the Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at the Willows of Willard.
She was born on November 29, 1943 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late John and Viola (Carpenter) Furr.
Dottie loved her family so much and enjoyed when the whole family came in for dinners and holidays, especially when she made her famous chicken and dumplings. She loved and honored her Lord with all of her heart and soul. Dottie was a proud and faithful member of the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist church for 57 years. She worked many years at Pioneer Rubber Co. and then taking care of elderly friends and cleaning. She loved sewing, especially when there was a new grandbaby on the way. She never turned down the opportunity to keep her grandbabies.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years, Lon and their six sons, Ernie (Dorene) Beverly of Greenwich, Doug (Nita) Beverly of Plymouth, Jeff (Michele) Beverly of Willard, Jamie (Lynn) Beverly of Willard, Rodney (Tina) Beverly of Plymouth and Charles (Sophia) Beverly of Grandview, TX, 19 grandkids, 43 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister Jenny (Dave) West of Peru, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Furr, Roger Furr, Tom Furr, Johnny Furr and a sister, Bonita Greathouse, grandson, Alan Beverly and granddaughter Tammy VanHorn.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 24, 2026 to Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will be a service beginning at 6:00 p.m. concluding the calling hours. Dorothy’s funeral service will be on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Elder Danny Carty and Elder Phillip Beverly officiating.
