Marie Ann (Micki) Wiles died peacefully on September 27th, 2026. Micki and her husband William (Bill) Wiles were nearing their 55th anniversary. In addition to her husband Bill, Micki is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Wiles and her son Michael (Mike) Wiles, his wife Jessica and their four children Jake, Chase, Max, and Vivian.
Micki was born in Erie, PA to Gilbert and Iola Riedy while her father was in the US Coast Guard. Formative years were spent on Kelleys Island (Lake Erie), Ohio with her brother Charles (Chuck), Edward (Eddie) and sister Laura. She was preceded in death by both parents and her youngest brother Eddie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Bill and Micki were married on Kelleys Island and lived in many locations during Bill’s career. Micki was a caring and nurturing mother. She was a big fan of soccer and the USWNT, and she coached Mike and Beth’s teams for a few seasons. She often volunteered outside the home with Meals on Wheels and local Area Agencies on Aging.
Micki was a life-long reader, always proud that her mother was the first librarian on Kelleys Island. She enjoyed skiing and golfing, and her last round was in the company of Bill, Mike and Jake.
Micki will be buried in the Wiles family plot in Willard, Ohio. Visitation will be at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20 and on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. A graveside service and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard, Ohio with a luncheon to follow at Trinity Lutheran Church, Willard, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that individuals make donations to the Kelleys Island Historical Association (https://kelleysislandhistorical.org/get-involved/).
