Ruth A. (Heydinger) Fitch, age 91, died on March 2, 2006 in Santa Ana, CA. Mrs. Fitch was born on Jan. 7, 1915 in New Washington, OH and graduated from New Washington High School in 1933.
On Aug. 19, 1939, Ruth married Madison J. Fitch, whom she met at a Fate Root Heath Company picnic. They made their home in Plymouth, Ohio for 44 years where she was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and active in the Altar and Rosary Society. They moved to California in 1983.
Surviving are her three children, Stephen Fitch and Ruth Seigle of California, Nina Minka currently working for the U.S. Agency for International Development in India and a sister, Esther Ohl. Mrs. Fitch had seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Madison Fitch on September 16, 2000; her mother, Mary Kanney Heydinger; father, Charles Heydinger; sister, Dorothy Ernst; and brother, Earl Heydinger.
Follow a memorial service in California, a graveside service will be held on March 18, 2006 at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington at 11:00 AM with Father Frederick Schill officiating.
