Alexis Marie Slater, age 29, passed away unexpectedly in her home on May 16, 2022. She was born in Willard, Ohio on July 22, 1992 to Mandy (Wilkenson) Hershiser and Dale E. Slater, Jr.

Alexis attended Willard City Schools, Class of 2010. During high school, she was a Willard Flashes Cheerleader. After high school, she was employed by Olive Garden as a Hostess. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. When she was growing up, she loved to watch her daddy play baseball and would dress up in his glove, hats, and shirts. She also loved being with her momma to do girl stuff, along with helping with her two younger sisters.

Alexis was a beautiful person, loving, caring, soft spoken voice and a smile that would light up an entire room. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by her entire family.

As we sadly say goodbye to our sweet girl, she leaves behind her parents, Dale (Sheila Rowe) Slater Jr. and Mandy (Tony) Hershiser and her beautiful children; sisters, Savannah Slater and Keagan Slater and brother Able Hershiser; parental grandfather, Dale (Linda King) Slater Sr., maternal grandfather, Darryl Wilkenson, step grandfather, Lynn Burton and step grandparents Dan and Sheila Hershiser; aunts, Shawna Burton, Ashely Buffington and Dannielle Slater; uncle, Sean (Lindsay) Slater; great aunt, Sandra Grossman, several cousins, other family members and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sherri Burton, paternal grandmother, JoAnn Laslea, maternal greatgrandmother, Margie Clem, paternal great grandmothers, Wanda Pelchar and Naomi Letherman, and her cousin who she dearly loved, Katelin A. Castile.

There will be a private funeral service at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to Alexis' family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
