Alice Genevieve Alt, age 94, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Alice was born on April 24, 1930, in Huron County, Ohio to the late Isadore J. and Eleanor C. (Smith) Kehres. In 1950, she married Urban Alt and they raised six children on the family farm in North Auburn/Tiro area. Alice was retired from Shelby Insurance Company in 1990 and relocated to Willard where she was active in the community by volunteering at the Willard public Library, the Willard Hospital, and the Huron County Age Exchange. Alice was an enthusiastic participant in the Music at the Park every summer and she as a consummate traveler was always ready for the next adventure! She traveled throughout the United States, Europe, and Ireland but her greatest joy came from being a mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother.

Alice is survived by her six children, Walter (Gail) Alt, Susan Alt, Carolyn (Mike) Sanders, Theresa Kuhn, Clifford (Cindy) Alt and Edward (Amy) Alt; five grandchildren, Rachel (Jason) Dunfee, Alicia (Nathan) Dyer, Zachary (Cathy) Alt, Caleb Alt and Sarah (Matthew) Clark; five great-grandchildren, Keira and Lyncoln Dunfee, Nolan and Adella Dyer, and Blake Alt; three siblings, Kathleen Leber, Marilyn Kraft and Bill (Janet) Kehres; and many loving in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Urban Alt; one grandson, Kevin Alt; son-in-law, Kevin Kuhn; and siblings, Leonard Kehres, Charles Kehres, Victor Kehres, James Kehres, Roman Kehres, Joan Ehresman, Ruth Rice, and Louise Roth.

Visitation will be at Mother of Sorrows Chapel in North Auburn, Ohio from 10:00 AM until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Bishop Bob Baker, Bishop Emeritus of Birmingham, Alabama officiating. Burial will follow at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in North Auburn, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
