In loving memory of Gladys Stumbo, age 82, of Willard, Ohio.  Heaven gained another angel on Friday, February 7, 2025 due to a sudden illness.  She was born on June 17, 1942 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Buck and Marie (Tuttle) Stumbo.  She retired from Mohawk Industries in Mansfield, Ohio.

Gladys was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.  She was a very independent and well-loved person.  She loved to spoil her grandkids.  She enjoyed going to fairs, shopping, and long walks, especially with baby Row.  She had lots of love for her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Heaven gained an angel that loved nothing more than being surrounded by family.

She is survived by a son, Ronnie Stumbo of Hueysville, Kentucky; a daughter, Deanna (DeeDee Stumbo) Hambly of Shelby, Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Strong, Nakeisha Friedlander, Melissa Stephens, Christopher Stumbo, Jacob Stumbo; grandchildren she helped raise, Annie (Tyler) McCullough, Ryilee (Arizona) Strong, baby Rowan, and numerous great grandchildren.  Also, she is survived by two sisters, Janice (Dave) Mullins of Tip City, Ohio and Elverda Charles of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Corbin Stumbo of Eastern Kentucky, Hascel (Linda) Stumbo of Norwalk, Ohio; Ricky (Ruth) Stumbo of New Haven, Ohio; and Jeffery (Marie Ann) Stumbo of Celeryville, Ohio; and family friend and daughter’s caregiver, Steven Newmeyer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Marie Stumbo; grandchildren, Justin, Kristy and Monica; brothers, Kenny, Ferris, and Dennis; and son-in-law, John Hambly.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2025 starting at 12:00 PM at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, Ohio with a Church Service at 6:00 PM.  Her funeral service will be at  Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at with the Elder’s of the Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio.  Online condolences may be made to Gladys’ family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com

To her family, I pray for the strength to get thru these difficult times. She was a ray of sunshine, so proud of her family and grandson, my daughter ANYTIME she seen gladys, she had to open the door or wi do just to say " hi Gladys" ♡♡♡ she will be so missed. I loved her so so much!
