Allen Russell (Russ) Wiles, age 87, resident of Willard, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 in MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield. He was born on May 30, 1917 to the late Harry S. and Edna J. (Wheeler) Wiles and had been a resident of Willard all of his life, where he was a lifelong farmer. He graduated from Willard High School in 1935. He was a Charter Member of the Huron County Cattleman Association and served on the Greenfield School Board. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard.
He is survived by 3 sons, William Allen Wiles of Johnstown, PA, John Arthur Wiles of Willard and James Russell Wiles of Willard; one daughter, Judith Edna Oney of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his wife, Helen E. Wiles, who died July 17, 2003 and who he married October 20, 1940; his parents, Harry S. and Edna J. (Wheeler) Wiles; 2 brothers, Arthur and Edwin Wiles; one sister, Florence Jacobs, and an infant sister, Edna L. Wiles.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the secor Funeral Home in Willard. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, with Rev. James Barkenquast officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
