Alliene Viola Webber, age 92, passed away July 5, 2004 in Regents Park Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. She was born October 31, 1911 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Edward and Gertrude (Anderson) McNeill. She had lived in Florence, Ohio during her childhood and lived in Plymouth, Mansfield and Brookville, Ohio prior to moving to Ponte Vedra, Florida.
She graduated from Birmingham High School and later from Cleveland Beauty School where she became a licensed beautician. Mrs. Webber was a creative and skilled seamstress, having studied professional dressmaking and design. She taught lessons for many years as well as teaching for Ashland University adult education, Comstock’s in Ashland, and for other adult education programs. She enjoyed many activities, various crafts, travel and her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mansfield.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack(John) and Nancy Webber of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Steve Christopher of Brentwood, TN; Gwen and Phil Tomic of Ponte Vedra, FL; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Thomas Webber; a brother, Edward McNeill; a sister, Halcyon Fleming and a granson, Stephen Errecarte.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday from 1 to 2 PM where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Reverend Linda Heinaman of the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
